The sales team is responsible for the promotion of the Village & Life portfolio. This incorporates the promotion to an extensive trade and corporate network, including both international and local tour operators, travel agents, event organisers and . Frequent sales trips are conducted locally and internationally and they host and attend local and international workshops and trade shows, including the very popular SA trade show, Indaba.
The sales office assists with information on all Village & Life products including rates, contracting, brochures, web requirements and providing up to date marketing material.
We offer our clients a dedicated website www.vlagents.com providing them with all necessary and up to date information, as well as the service of a dedicated central reservations office. Our team of consultants, headed by Carla October offer specialist advise on all our accommodation options, ensuring the guests needs are met accordingly.

We ensure all properties are promoted to the maximum number of potential customers through the use of various online systems. Our service responsibilities include; the build and development of a mutually beneficial relationships with all online clients, maintaining rate parity and real time distribution of rates & availability. The online networks includes, Internet Distribution Systems, Global Distribution Systems and Direct Booking Engine

Village & Life's new Hospitality Academy
Village & Life's new Hospitality Academy is now offering an Introduction to Front Desk and Reservations Module. After the six-week course of intensive theory and practical training, successful candidates will walk away with invaluable knowledge and hands-on training.
The curriculum consists of interactive sessions covering guest relations, front desk management and hospitality management. This professional hands-on training will enable students to walk into any establishment and be able to work as a receptionist and or reservationist. They will also have a key understanding of business management of tourism suppliers.
This apprenticeship guarantees the knowledge, professionalism and practical experience that will make our students sought-after employees.
Course fee is R6500. Accommodation is available in Camps Bay for the duration of the course for R2500.

The Currie Cup-winning Western Province squad celebrates their victory at The Bay Hotel.
In a thrilling exhibition at the "Shark Tank" in Durban, Western Province beat the Sharks on their own turf, winning the 2012 Currie Cup 25-18.
The Bay Hotel was proud to host the team's celebrations at Sandy B Private Beach Club. It was a perfect "Beach Day" and the players were able to lounge in the sunshine by the sparkling pool, relaxing with drinks and snacks on the private deck.

Jake rose to fame as a professional rugby player and then captain for Gloucester Rugby in the UK and then branched out as an entrepreneur, building up a portfolio of properties, opening his own guest house, starting his own tours and events company and becoming a certified IKO Kiteboarding Instructor.
